What's so special about Pollock Pines?
Although I was born and raised in Sacramento and the surrounding area, I found myself drawn to the Pollock Pines area every summer and winter and eventually moved there years ago. I travel between Sacramento County and El Dorado County on a regular basis in order to help relocate people from one area to the other. That is why my office is located in between counties. One thing that attracted me to Pollock pines was the snow. I wanted snow every winter but didn't want to deal with the typical snow level that higher elevations have to deal with. Also, if I wanted out of the snow, it only took 15 minutes drive to be out of it. Another feature I love is Jenkinson Lake Sly Park. It only takes me a few minutes to get to the lake and I can go fishing, swimming, hiking and bike riding! There are many people who actually commute to Placerville, Folsom, Cameron Park and even Sacramento to work, including myself! Living in this community means that much to them. The people here are different. There is a real sense of community and family here.
